Welcome, my name is Lauren Blanchard, and I am a therapist in the Denver Metro area. I received my Master’s from the University of Northern Colorado and have served clients across Colorado since 2018.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people, not because I knew all the answers but because I wanted others to experience the clarity I gained by overcoming my individual and familial challenges. I believe when people figure out who they are and their purpose, they can achieve their most authentic selves.

Self-awareness and self-acceptance are significant themes in my work with my clients because they evoke positive changes in emotional and mental functioning. To achieve these states, I provide clients with a neutral space for processing, feedback, challenging, and reframing.

My background is working with children, parents, and families, many of whom are neurodivergent such as Autistc, ADHD or Dyslexic and have come from a complex family system. These clients benefit from gaining self-awareness, healthy attachments, emotional regulation, and communication skills, which allow them to have successful interactions and relationships with others.

I look forward to helping you reach your authentic self and achieve meaningful connections.

  • I use creative modalities that allow me to apply aspects of Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral, and Systemic Family therapies.

Depending on the client’s needs, interventions could include play therapy, cognitive restructuring, parent-child interaction work, or fostering corrective emotional experiences.

  • My therapeutic approach places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. A secure therapeutic relationship is essential to promote change and growth in clients. This relationship thrives on trust, safety, unconditional positive regard, and no judgment.

Clients can expect me to actively participate in the session, providing direct feedback and insight.

  • My clinical orientations include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Systemic-Family Therapy, and Multicultural Counseling.

Intuitive Counseling

At Intuitive Counseling, our mission is to assist individuals, parents, children, and families to function cohesively by promoting healthy, meaningful, and enriching relationships. To achieve these goals, our clients work to gain a more profound sense of self, confidence, and purpose, allowing them to make choices and act in ways that most align with their values and beliefs.

Intuitive Counseling is a fully remote teletherapy practice that allows us to help clients across Colorado. Teletherapy provides convenience and accessibility and enables clients to receive a unique form of in-home therapy, available only by Intensive Out-Patient Programs (IOP) in the past.
